Alisha O’Neill, MBA, CPHR
Co-Founder, Director and HR Partner
Alisha is Co-Founder, Director, and visionary of Phoenix Rising Consulting Group. She brings over two decades of experience in organizational transformation and integration programs across various business areas, including human resources, sales & marketing, and project management.
She’s passionate about helping individuals and organizations adapt to change and become more resilient to increase their performance and potential. A servant leader at heart, Alisha excels at developing and empowering others to create meaningful change in themselves and their organizations.

With her resourceful and inclusive approach, Alisha collaborates with project teams and senior leadership to drive strategic outcomes and culture change. As a Certified Coach in Learning Agility, she guides senior leadership teams through transformational change, facilitates team effectiveness, leads talent development, and coaches individuals to realize their full potential. Alisha brings exceptional professionalism to every client interaction and clarity to multifaceted business challenges.

Born and raised in Calgary, she loves the community she lives in, her family, and spends her free time gardening, going to the theatre, and reading about a wide variety of topics.
Werner Harahap, CPA
Co-Founder, Director and Finance & Accounting Partner
Werner is Co-Founder and Director at Phoenix Rising Consulting Group. He brings over two decades of diverse experience across finance and accounting, focusing on full-cycle accounting, systems integration, and process optimization. He is passionate about people and relationship-building and believes in collaborative solutions and creating value for all.

Werner was born and raised in the Netherlands and, through his coming to Canada, developed great adaptability, cultural fluency, and the ability to easily navigate diverse environments. For his clients and newcomers he regularly supports, Werner’s ability to speak different languages (English, Dutch, German, French, Indonesian, and Spanish) is an invaluable plus.

As a compassionate people connector, community champion, and newcomer advocate, he strives to make a lasting impact by inspiring others and perpetuating positivity. He’s an active volunteer with the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Alberta, Calgary Stampede, Winston Heights-Mountview Community Association (WHMCA), and New Canadian Hub.
Outside of work, you can find Werner volunteering, making connections in the neighborhood, and supporting his preferred candidate in the municipal election.
Ujal Thakor, CFA, MBA
Director and Strategy & Finance Partner
Ujal is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience driving transformational projects across multiple sectors including Oil & Gas, Consumer/Manufacturing, Transportation, and Aviation. His expertise in strategic planning, financial planning & analysis, and operating model design has consistently delivered results with high-performing teams.

Ujal has an innate ability to bring structure to complex situations while also supporting and building teams that can sustain substantial change. His analytical rigor and continuous drive for success are supported by his use of complex analytical tools, enabling him to achieve short-term and long-term sustainable improvements.

As a "learn-it-all," Ujal not only identifies best-fit practices for his clients but also applies this mindset to his personal pursuits, including as a contestant on Jeopardy! This intellectual curiosity drives him to focus on meeting operational excellence targets, financial performance, and stakeholder benefits in every project he undertakes.

A lifelong Calgarian, Ujal remains deeply committed to his community. He actively volunteers with several organizations, including the Calgary Stampede and Look Forward Calgary, demonstrating his dedication to giving back and making a positive impact beyond his professional life.
Huda Moghal, MIRHR
Senior HR Consultant
Huda is an accomplished HR professional with over a decade of experience and is known for leading global HR operations initiatives that drive efficiency and support scalable growth. She has managed the end-to-end delivery of company-wide job description updates and internal HR policy documents, ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders, including legal teams.
Huda also brings strong analytical expertise, having led HR analytics projects across various industries to deliver executive-level reports and strategic recommendations based on key HR metrics and market trends.
Beyond her professional work, Huda is deeply committed to supporting her community. For years, she has volunteered her time to provide pro-bono job search support, including resume writing and interview preparation with newcomers to Canada. Her mission is to help newcomers leverage their international skills and education to find meaningful employment and successfully integrate into the Canadian workforce.
